Please meet...

...Cuddles!

Hubby John and I adopted her from a local shelter last week and today's her one-week anniversary. It's been really hard for me to take the plunge and get a new cat after losing Cindy in January, but I recently decided (with a little help) that if I don't take the risk, I'll never get the reward.

I had a little trouble with her name at first -- it's bit cute. But she really does love to cuddle -- more like splay out on your lap and stretch all four paws out in different directions really. She's adjusting remarkably well and is really well-behaved. We're determined not to spoil her as much as we did Cindy, but I don't know how long we'll be able to keep up that level of resolve.

She really isn't that interested in getting up on the furniture if someone isn't already sitting there. One thing she can't resist, though, is footstools. Weird.

It's really nice having a cat around the house again. I had started to get used to being without Cindy and thought that's how I wanted things to stay. I think that telling myself that made things easier, but it wasn't the truth. This one was definitely worth waiting for.

Thanks! She is pretty much the lovingest (which if it's not a word, it should be) cat in the world. We're so happy to have found her. She's making our world a lot more fun...and hairy.
